Coming back to the sandbar.

I’m back, and I came back with a list. A half marathon on my birthday. World Watercolor Month in July. A daily yoga practice. The site you’re reading. All of it part of one decision: to invest in my body, my art, and my soul.

I spent the off-season rejuvenating the website, the style, the content — and, it turns out, myself. I think I needed all of those things more than I realized.

So here’s what I’ve signed up for in the second half of 2026:

A half marathon on my birthday in October — my sixth. The last two times I missed my goal pace by a margin that still bugs me. Running this one on my birthday is partly the symbolism, mostly the chance to give that goal a more conclusive answer.

World Watercolor Month in July. A daily watercolor for the whole month. I have no idea yet what I’ll paint — only that I want to find out.

A daily yoga practice, no matter how small. Some days it’ll be a real flow. Some days it’ll be one stretch on the kitchen floor before bed. Both count.

This space. A real, slow, honest blog where I write down what I’m chasing and what’s chasing me back.

I appreciate you giving me a space to do this — to be open, honest, and a little ambitious out loud. Especially about that pace goal. Happy to be back on the interwebs with all you lovelies. Let’s see what the second half of the year wants to do with us.
