Slowing Down Just Enough

Lately, I’ve been trying to start and end my days with a little more intention—not through a complicated routine, just by stepping out onto the deck.

First thing in the morning, I take my coffee outside. Before the day gets rolling, I check on my plants, dote on the rose bush (which, by the way, is not only still here but actually putting out new growth after surviving a full-on deer nibble). I mean… we love a comeback queen, right?

If it’s not raining, I try to steal another minute out there mid-day—just to reset before jumping into whatever’s next. And then again in the evening when everything softens a bit.

It’s not about productivity. It’s just about pausing.
And that’s what inspired this week’s Tea & Tangents question:

What’s something you’ve started appreciating more lately?

For me, it’s those small moments that used to slip by unnoticed.
A bit of quiet. A bit of light. A plant that refuses to give up.

Maybe you’ve got something like that too.
If you do—and feel like sharing—I’d love to hear about it.

from my corner of the coast,
